6 month photos

Okay, so it is great to go back and get old layouts done, but it is a little disheartening to realize that I'm still only working on April of 2007, not even halfway done with the year and I've only done a few layouts for Andrea's first couple of months in 2006. Oh well.

These were some of Andrea's professional portraits at 6-months (yes, you will see more soon).

Beach vacation.

Two beach pages that I made for a contest at Scrap Orcahrd. The first one is the one I submitted using the kit provided: Beach Bum. The pictures are from our vacation to Long Beach.

Pages of my nieces

First, Andrea is doing awesome. She is completely back to normal, sleeping less and all (laughing).
I've finished some more pages this week. Dave working more means I spend more time crafting at night.
All of these pages are from my nieces's birth/visit. I had to condense a lot of pictures in only a few pages, so some of them are not very "artistic" but the pictures were important to me.

Some pages and more

Before I post my pictures, I'm going to post about my daughter. She has been sick for about 10 days now. She is doing okay at this point but not well yet. It started on June 4th with a fever of 103. Over the several days following it came and went. On June 9th it went back up above 102 and we finally called the doctor who told us to take her into the after-hours clinic. They were closed so we chose to go to the ER. We assumed they would check for infections or another reason for so many days with a fever. Unfortunately, in the hospital she developed croup pretty bad. They had to give her 3 medicated breathing treatments, one mist treatment and a steroid shot. The next day we follow up with the doctor and she still wasn't doing well, they gave her another steroid shot and kept her for an hour under observation. They checked on her by phone that afternoon and requested to see her again in the morning. By the next morning she was breating better. Her fever registered at 99.9. We were given instructions to keep up with oral steroids for a few more days. That was Thursday. On Friday, her fever stayed in the 99's and she developed bright pink cheeks. A call to the doctor's office told me that the cheeks were probably a results of the respiratory virus and not to worry. Today, Saturday, she still has the pink cheeks and low fever. She acts subdued and tired as well (in addition to sleeping a full 12-hr night plus nap). Anyway, as a mom, I am so frustrated right now. She doesn't seem to be in any danger at all, but 10 days with a fever is a long time...

This first LO is actually the story of her ER visit this week. This was her first time to visit the ER. I used Garden Girl's kit: Captured Moments.
This page is a picture of Andrea that I took this week. Again, I used Garden Girl's kit: Captured Moments.
This is a new page from our vacation at the beach. Andrea really enjoyed visiting the horses but definately didn't want to ride it. I used Shabby Princess's kit: Happy Go Lucky
This is another page from our vacation. I thought it was cute that I took a picture of Andrea walking on the boardwalk and Michelle took the same picture of Cami. Used the same kit as previous.

Cute new pages

I really like these. I've been going through some of Garden Girls older kits and this first one was inspired by the kit itself. I plan to print this and hang it in my sewing room.
Using another of Garden Girl's kits (available at Scrapable), I made this great 2-page layout from our vacation last week. Image the two pages together.

Pages scrapped while Andrea was sick

I had lots of time while Andrea had the flu. So while she watched cartoons from bed, I made these pages on the bed next to her.

This was one of two pages from our playgroup egghunt.
These were from our egghunt at church.
This page is from a kid's bday party.
This was from Dave's party.

Scrapping Spree

So I've been busy catching up on some scrapping. Here I am sitting at the beach with my computer on my lap. What else am I going to do while Andrea sleeps? Anyway, I'm pleased with my progress. Here are my pages in the last few days.

These were just some cute photos I wanted to scrap. The kit is Summer Fancy by SandraK.
These were the first pictures I took of Alaina and Alanna about an hour after birth. The kit is Circle of Friends (Joy Michelle) by SandraK
These were the first photos of Aaron and Amanda with the girls. Same kit as above.
These are photos from our first "kiddy bowling" trip. It was a great place. Kit is Your Smile by Sweet Digi Scraps.
These photos are from our second bowling trip. Same kit as above.
