2006 and 2007 layout

If you haven't noticed, I've been working to get a lot of old pictures scrapped. I started digitally scrapping when Andrea was born, but it was a long time before I really got on a roll, so I have her first year-and-a-half still to finish.

This first page is of 6-months-old. The kit is Paint Your Rainbow by Dede Smith. Lots of fun colors that go well with these bright pictures.

This second page is from 3-weeks-old. She was sleeping on the couch. This kit is Dreams are Forever. The colors and elements were perfect for this sleeping page.

This is a new kit from 3 scrapateers - Spring Ballerina 1 by Cari Lopez. It is a beautiful kit. The wordart is by Bethany. I just love how the page turned out. It is so perfect. I was inspired when looking at Andrea's pose in this photo.

Today was a scrapping day

I finished 3 pages today. I'm happy with all of them.

The first two are with Backyard Playground, a mega collab kit.

This one was fun. It was taken at the Children's Museum.

This was a fun page. I wanted a fun page to go with these great pages at the Children's Museum.

I like these soft colors. This kit is Elissa by Jolene Shaffer at 3scrapateers. Andrea was 6-months-old in these photos. I'm still working through April 2007 photos.

Hybrid Projects for Easter

I've been stepping out of my comfort zone and trying some new things. I plan to use these for our upcomming Easter party. They were tons of fun, but they are taking up way too much space in my dining room right now.

All of the items are from kits by Debbie B at 3 scrapateers:

Thank you and a new layout

First, I'd like to say a huge "thank you" to all who helped make my birthday special. I had lots of warm fuzzies yesterday and the day before.

Here is my newest layout. This picture is from when Andrea was 6-months-old. She looked so cute. I was dressing her up in an old dress of mine.

I made these pages with a great kit called Only in My Dreams by Monique Drost at 3scrapateers. I loved the kit. The pages were quick and easy,.

I love this picture of Andrea. She looks so cute and thoughtful.

These pictures were so funny. Andrea found a small framed photo of Daddy and Mommy (from 10 years ago!) and carried it around with her. She wouldn't let it go. She took it to church that day and slept with it at naptime.

Easter Projects

Will be having an Easter event here on the 4th of April, so I'm gearing up. I made these cards and boxes and some matching candy wrappers and stickers. This was one of my first hybrid projects, definately turned out good.

Andrea's infection

Andrea has been fighting diaper rashes forever and recently infections too. This is the 3rd infection and we took her to the doctor for a culture. Today, they called with the results. Andrea has a staff in fection. We picked up the antibiotic today, hopefully it will be gone soon. I'm so sad she is dealing with these.

Spring Will Come layouts

I just loved the colors on this beautiful kit. I think you will too! The kit is "Spring Will Come" by Dede Smith at 3 scrapateers: http://shop.3scrapateers.com/shopexd.asp?id=5634&bc=no

This first layout is of Andrea dancing around in the dress I just made. It was tough to capture these photos because she was just a blur.

This second layout is of Andrea with her sweet gift from grandpa and grandma.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope everyone had a green day! We had green frosted cookies and a great friend made us shepherds' pie for dinner. It was a busy day so no scrapping or sewing for me.

Busy Day - 2 more layouts

I'm ready for bed! After my early working, a toddler playdate, helping my friend with taxes, taking Andrea to the doctor, and finishing up the day by preparing cookies for tomorrow's playdate, I still managed my first pages for the 3scrapateers Creative Team. As soon as I post this, I'll be turning in for the night.

This was such a fun kit to play with. Dede Smith made some adorable elements for this kit. The kit theme is Pooh; it is called Friendz From the Wood. The animals are fluffy, but there is one for each of the Pooh characters and other elements to go with the theme. The primary colors made it great for these pictures.

Andrea went to the doctor this afternoon. She has had a series of rashes over time, that we "think" might be caused by grapes. The problem is that she has now had 3 major boils as well. We have tried topical creams and even oral antibiotics. They lanced her current boil today (oh, how Andrea cried) and will culture it to see what we are dealing with. Hopefully we can have an allergy test done in the future to find out for sure if it really is from grapes.

Sharing some more pages

This was an early morning for me (workout at 5:30am) so I now have some time to get online before kids come running over for a playdate! I wanted to share a couple of pages I made with a great kit - "Bella" by Wetfish Designs.

Guest Creative Team Member

I was given the opportunity to create a couple of pages with this great kit by Kalo Designs.

I had fun with this kit. The colors were great. The first page I made was of Andrea at about 6 months. I just loved this little outfit on her. Plus, it is such a cute picture!

The second page was from about a year-old. I thought this kit deserved some outdoor pictures. I can't wait to use it with more pictures this summer.

Here is the kit preview of Spring Garden.

I've joined 3scrapateers as a Creative Team Lead!

I recently was blessed with the opportunity to come on board the 3scarpateers Creative Team. This site is just revamping and bringing on new teams and designers (they still have some great previous designers!). As part of the team, I will get to try and and review some of their great kits. I'm excited to get started!

Flood of 2009

I wanted to memoralize the floods we have seen since moving in August of 2007. The flood of 2007 was definately worse that this more recent once, but both were stressful moments. Thankfully, we are high and dry in our home, but being surrounded by devastation is never good. I made these two pages for this year's flood. I kept them simple and left the pictures large to speak for themselves.

Welcome to my blog!

Well, it is time to start a blog. I have been putting it off way too long. I didn't want to add one more website to update everyday ;), but it is past time! I still plan to keep up with my daughter's website here: www.reddenbaby.com, but his site will be for me.
